Static started out officially just over a year ago but the ideas behind the company have been there for many years. We’ve wanted a frame like this for as long as we can remember, I rode for Kona/Airwalk 10 years ago and kept hounding them to make bikes like this. Its funny now with Cowan and Bas that they have embraced it big time, but even now they seem to be two steps behind what’s happening at the trails and in the parks. I guess that’s what makes the underground companies so versatile, you can react to riders demands much faster, without having to plan things two seasons in advance.
